How do I run the DAS program on a Mac computer?

DAS Trader Pro is a Windows based program only. You can run it on a Mac by booting into Windows using Bootcamp, or a virtual machine like Parallels or VMWare Fusion, but it will not run natively on Mac. Please note that DAS Trader PRO is intended and fully tested to be used in a Windows environment and the use of DASTrader Pro on a Mac OS is at the user’s risk. If you still need to use DAS Trader Pro on an Apple computer, below are the different options to run DAS Trader PRO in a MAC environment:

  • Installing Windows on your MAC using Parallels Desktop. Most stable environment, supports dual monitors and cost $80. See more details on Parallel support
  • Run Windows at native speed using Bootcamp environment. Apple and most MAC users seem to endorse this framework as stable for most applications and it’s free. See supported links below:

Apple Support –

  • Running DAS Trader PRO on a cloud based virtualized desktop or a native virtualized Window’s environment.

The most robust of the two virtualization environment is VMWare Fusion since it is a native virtualized environment on the MAC. For that reason it is quite stable, fast and scalable. The cost is $70 for the VMWare Fusion software.

Here is a tutorial for setting up VMWare Fusion and DAS:

  • For the cloud based solution, the user must use Remote Connect app or a similar remote access technology from MAC or any non-windows Operating System to access DAS Trader PRO. This is limited to one monitor but is quite stable and is suitable for someone who is not looking for a free solution or who wants to use a non-Window OS and want access to his configured DAS PRO desktop remotely using any Operating System that has Remote Connection available. Amazon offers a Free cloud based Virtual Server environment in which you can install Windows Operating System and run DAS Trader PRO.

(Please note: For the free trial, you will need to install DAS Trader Pro on a Windows PC, or boot into Windows on your Mac using Bootcamp; Parallels or Virtual Machines will not work.)
