‘No Trades Currently Allowed’ Rejection Message

The ‘No Trades Currently Allowed’ rejection message when attempting to place a trade to your live Schwab account typically indicates that a recent transfer of funds has not cleared for trading through 3rd party applications.

These funds, while available for trading through Schwab’s native platform, will require a longer hold period before it is available to access via 3rd party applications, such as DAS. This hold can often take over a week to complete.

DAS has no control in expediting this process or knowing when the funds will be available for trading through the DAS platform. Call your Schwab Trade Desk Representative on the timing of the release of these funds for 3rd party applications.

If you have not recently transferred funds into your Schwab account and are still experiencing this message, please try placing a trade directly from one of Schwab’s native platforms to see if the trade goes through. If you are not able to successfully place a trade directly through Schwab, call a Schwab representative directly to have the issue resolved.
