What is the Combination – Market Alerts Scanner?
The Combination – Market Alerts scanner allows the user to configure any of the optional filters in the scanner settings to return symbols the meet the criteria set for in the filters.
Trigger Conditions
The Combination – Market Alerts Scan will be triggered if all of the following conditions are true:
- Report time is less than or equal to the value of the filter: “Max Number of Reports”.
- All of the common filters are true.
Create a new Subscription for the Combination – Market Alerts Scanner
In the Create Trade Signal window, choose ‘Combination – Market Alerts’ and click the OK button. A new subscription will be created.
After adding the Combination – Market Alerts scanner, it will appear in the main Trade Signal List window. Double click on the name of the scan in the Trade Signal List window and the Trade Signal Results screen will be visible. By default, the Combination – Market Alerts scan is already pre-configured and results should be visible in this window after opening it.
Update the Filters of the Combination – Market Alerts Scanner
There are several Optional Filters that can be adjusted for each Trade Signal scan. Please review these Optional Filters here: https://dastrader.com/docs/optional-filters/. The settings mentioned below fall under the Mandatory Filters section in the TradeSignal Config window.
Max Number of Reports
This setting defines the number of reports that the same stock can display in the Trade Signal window.Values: 1-99
Example of the Combination – Market Alerts Scanner Scanner
Open TradeSignal from the Tools > TradeSignal menu. When the TradeSignal List window opens, click the New button. In the window that opens, select Combination – Market Alerts Scanner under the Combination scanner options. Click the Advanced Settings button and set the following options:
- Mandatory Settings:
- Exchange: N;A;Q;U;u (this is already configured by default)
- Price-Price Range (Dollars): Min: 5, Max: 100
- Number of Reports: 1
- Optional Filters:
- Price-Change from Yesterday Close(%): Enabled; Min: 3, Max: 99
- Vol-Today Volume(whole-day): Enabled; Min: 150000, Max: 9999999999
- Vol-05Min Volume(Shares): Enabled; Min: 2000, Max: 9999999999
- Vol-05Min Volume vs Previous One(%): Vol-05Min Relative Volume %(vs Last): Enabled; Min: 300, Max: 99999
Click OK and the TradeSignal scan will be saved. Double click on the name of the scan in the TradeSignal List window to view the results.
